TWO RICHARDSONS AND GRIMMETT COMING HERE.

The cabled news that the Richardson brothers, Grimmett, Gunn, Scott, Parry, Prichard and Rundell have signified their willingness to participate in the tour of the South Australian team through New Zealand towards the end of the present cricket season will be ver}' welcome to followers of the game in the Dominion.

Grimmett and A. Richardson alone will be a big draw. Richardson was one of the best all-rounders in the Australian team which has just returned from England, while Grimmett is the slow bowler who in many matches was much more successful than Mailev. The South Australian team which played against the New Zealanders last season was as follows;—A. J. RichArdson, V. T. Richardson, D. E. Prichard, P. K. Lee, J. W. Rvmill, W. C. Alexander. J. T. Murray, D. G. M’Kay, C. V. Grimmett, C. Parry and G. Palmer. Thus of the eleven that played against New Zealand last season five are going to tour the Dominion this season—A. J. Richardson, V. T. Richardson, C. V. Grimmett, D. E. Prichard ai d C. Parry. The Richardsons and Grimmett are well known to followers of cricket throughout New Zealand Grimmett formerly resided in We.lington, where he first came into prominence as a googly bowler. Prichard is a left hand bat whose prowess is nothing out of the ordinary Last season, against New Zealand, he made 2 and 13, being bowled by Cunningham and Blunt in each instance. Parry is the wicket-keeper, and he is quite a small little fellow, who is sure to be popular with the public. Scott is the ex-New South Wales express bowler and is the fastest bowler in Australia to-day. He and Grimmett should be a powerful combination. Gunn and Rundell are two promising young colts. Disappointment will be felt at the non-inclusion of W. C. Alexander and J. W. Rymill. Alexander is a tall right hand batsanan who is regarded as the most promising Colt in Australia at the present time. Last year, against New Zealand, he scored 130 and 34 not out and made 100 afainst Victoria and 50 against New South WaJes. Rymill is a left hand batsman who scored 50 and 15 against New Zealand last season. He is one of Australia's best fieldsmen. A meeting of the management committee of the New Zealand Cricket Council will be held on Wednesday night, when matters in connection with the South Australian tour will be further discussed.
