Sir,Your correspondent, “One of the Unemployed ’ must be very tender and a bit dull. Probably I am as poor as he, but I was not hurt by the announcement that fresh comers to the mission pay up. Our friend was too poor to go to the pictures, so went to the mission for an evening's cheap entertainment, and, seeing that halls, workers and advertising cannot be had for nothing, the promoters asked those who could afford it to contribute to the expenses, and the missioner. in doing so, said: “If you can put in a pound do so, but if you have nothing we are pleased to see you. You are welcome.” I think that the promote, u, for providing such a magnificent Choir, such a brilliant speaker and the other equipment and throwing it open for the poorest to attend deserve the thanks and support and appreciation of everybody.--1 am, etc., A POOR MAY
