LEGAL ACTION PENDS IN “WHISPERING GALLERY” BOOK IMPOSITION.

Mr Pearson, one of the publishers, apologises to Sir James Rennell Rodd for the appearance of the latter’s name in the controversy over “The Whispering Gallery,” and affirms that Sir Rennell Rodd is not the author of the memoirs and did not participate in their preparation, or publication. It is announced that steps arc being
taken under legal advice regarding “The Whispering Gallery.” Details will be announced in twenty-four hours Pearson is a member of the Savage Club. His friends refuse to credit that he is the actual author. He is also an actor of some ability and the writer of stories in popular periodicals.
