NEW SWIMMING RECORD MADE BY G. BRIDSON.
PAr Frefcs Association. AUCKLAND, November 23. Swimming in the final of the Waitemata Club's 220 yards handicap in the tepid baths this evening G. Bridson, 440 yards intermediate champion of New Zealand and record holder, improved upon the New Zealand intermediate boys’ record for the distance by registering 2 minutes 37 2-5 seconds. This time is three-fifths of a second faster than E. V. Cunnold’s record, made in 1922.
