The Gillies Scholarship for science and mathematics, which entitles the holder to £IOO for three years, has been awarded on the result of this year's examination to J. C. Stewart, a pupil of the Auckland Grammar School, The • competitors included pupils from the Auckland Grammar School, the Mount Albert Grammar School and Nelson College.
