WHY NOT SHUT DOWN?
To tho Editor. Sir. —Kindly allow me a little more of your valuable space in which to reply to the ravings of “ Detector.” When will he and his class cease this torrent of absolutely unfair and abusive criticism? Why is it that such gentlemen cannot, or will not, be forced to see that they are not the only pebbles on the beach, and that the wishes and musical tastes (however warped) of others require a little attention from 3YA, as do their own. “ Detector ” is most emphatic over what he likes and dislikes, and to use a fitting expression, he would shut th“. daylight of heaven out from all who hold different views if he only could. I would like to learn in what manner he was forced to listen to the concert on Sunday evening. Items often come on w’hich I myself do not care much for, but I have not yet found myself in the awful position of being forced to listen to them. I would like to point out how gratifying it i 3 to the unbiased mind to know that such onesided persons as “ Detector ” do not participate in the arranging of our radio programmes.—l am. etc., UNSELFISH.
