BEWARE OF JOINT PAINS.
Pain within the joints, accompanied by heat’, swelling or stiffness, is usually a sure sign of harmful uric acid, which, if neglected, may crippie and deform yovi. Prompt treatment with a suitable remedy is very important. It is not sufficient to rub the painful part with liniment, embrocation or oils. Massage is positively harmful in some cases, and unnecessary suffer- i ing is caused by thoughtless treat- | ment. Don’t lie satisfied with half mea- J sures. It may be a simple matter to ' obtain temporary relief from voar pain or stiffness, but wouldn’t it be a lot better if you located the cause j and thus obtained lasting benefit. Is the painful part red or swollen? Is the flesh hot to the touch ? When you move the part does it seem stiff, and does it feel as if particles of sharp grit are embedded in the joint? Uric acid settles like this, and once it starts it gradually gets a firmer hold upon you. Hot baths, massage, and similar methods of treatment may drive this uric acid from one part of the body to another, but of what use is that? You want to get rid of the uric acid that is causing the trouble, and therefore you need De Witt’s Pills. When you take De Witt’s Pills you do more than banish i your pain. You heal and strengthen your kidneys, and thus enable them to keep you free from pain-causing uric acid. You cannot expect to obtain such good results by any other means. Ask your chemist -for a3s 6d box of De Witt’s Pills, and take two of the pills just before you go to bed. That is the way to treat stiff, swollen or painful joints. 3 .
