DISHONEST MEDIUM EXPOSED AT LIBERTY THEATRE THIS WEEK.

The principal film at the Liberty Theatre this week, ‘‘The Mystic,” docs riot put a damper on the efforts of those who sevk to connect in a tangible form the present life with the life hereafter. It does not condemn spiritualism, but sounds a grave note of warning to those over-credulous persons who would believe all they are told, who would accept the truth of all seances and follow blindly the teachings of “mediums” of doubtful honesty. The science, the screen production teaches. is one that is open to evil exploitation by men and women greedy for gain, by so-called “mediums”

whose only consideration is for gold. A note entirely different is struck in “The Yellowback.” a film of the western prairies. A New Zealand Government publicity film, “Where the Blue Pacific Rolls,” gives some excellent views of the winterless north; and a news reel touches upon many recent national events. The musical portion of the programme is of a high order this week.
