BRITISH FILM “MONS” IS EXAGGERATED, SAYS FRENCH NEWSPAPER.

By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright Aus. and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received November 19, 11.30 a.m.) PARIS, November 18. The newspaper “Comedia,” criticising the film, “Mons,” now being shown by cinemas throughout Britain, accuses the producer of exaggerating the role of the British force and minimising the Belgian and French Armies’ work. “Thus,” it says, “the caption, ‘The French Having Retreated, Left the British Army Without Support,’ is a little out of proportion, when it is remembered that there were only 75,000 British to millions of Belgian and Freneh troops. The latter are only mentioned at the beginning, first as welcoming the British, and then when the endurance of the British had given the French time to set their own Army in order.”
