Work in connection with the renovation of the old wing of the Parliamentary Buildings is proceeding satisfactorily. The first application of paint has been practically completed, but the real effect will be gained when the second coat goes on as a colour will be selected which will synchronise with the marble of the new section. A proposal to remove the tower over the Bowen Street entrance was dis.cussed, but was abandoned. Necessary alterations are being made to Bellamy’s quarters arid good progress has been made with the reroofing which it was decided to carry out. It will be some tim§, however, before the workmen leave the premises.
