Chicago wheat Quotations are: December, 135* cents a bushel; May, 139* cents; July, 133 cvnts. LONDON MARKET REPORT. (Received November IP. 12.30 p.m.) LONDON, November 18. The butter market is plow. Danish is about 10s. There is a fair trade in new season's Australian. Cold-stored New Zealand is unchanged in prices, but buyers consider the New Zealand control of the prices of new arrivals, 148 s to 160 s, too high and consequently there is very little soiling. Tina multiple shops have reduced the retail price of the best salted to seventeen pence per pound. Cheese is slow. New Zealand, S4s to 80s. Sugar—Granulated, Sis 4ld. At the rabbit skins sales 3300 casks were offered. There was fair general competition for furriers’ sorts at ten per cent above the September prices. Medium hatters wf.ro at late rates to five per cent decline. Lower grades were five to ten j*?r cent advance. The Germans competed strongly for the best furriers’ sorts. SALE REPORT. •Tones, McCrostie Company. Ltd., report having held a successful sale of office furniture, on the premises. Lichfield Street, on Tuesday last. Amongst the various articles «bld the following prices were realised:—Adding machine £29, iron safe £lB. Cyclostyle £6 15s. cheque writer £2 10s. two office chairs £5, typewriter £5 ss, ditto £3 10s. office table £l7 10s. old car £lB, scales £ls. bicycle £3. butter boxes £2 10s, sugar plant £2 7s 6d The same firm held a successful sale of slippers and shoes in their rooms on Wednesday last, when there was a large attendance. About 600 pairs of shoes were disposed of at satisfactory prices.
