Mr H. A. Knight, Racecourse Hill, has returned from a trip to Australia. Mr IL T. Armstrong. M.P., left by the ferry steamer on Wednesday on a visit to Wellington.
The Bishop of Nelson, Dr Sadlier, arrived from the West Coast last night, and is staying at Warner’s Hotel. Mr 11. J. Knight has left for Wellington and Auckland. He will be away for about ten days.
Mr W. D. Hunt, managing director of Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd., has returned to Wellington from a visit to England.
Professor A. C. Paterson has been elected chairman of the Professorial Board of the Auckland University College for 1927. Messrs J. 11. C. Bond, D. Gould, H. R. Beauchamp and Eugene Spitz were passengers to Christchurch by the ferry boat from Wellington this morning. The Governor-General has appointed Messrs James Leslie, J.P., and George P. Kissell. J.P., as visiting justices to Paparua Prison-
