COMING-OF-AGE PARTY.
On Saturday ah enjoyable evening was spent, when Mr and Mrs F. W. Wright, Colombo Street, Cashmere, entertained a number of relatives and friends in honour of the coming of age of their son, Joseph. The supper room was decorated with many coloured streamers and Chinese lanterns. The centre of the table was decorated with a handsome birthday cake with twentyone candles. Mr L. Harris proposed the health of the jjfuest of the evening and presented him with a gold key. The evening was tfpent in dancing, games and musical items. Among those present were:—Mr and Mrs F. W. Wright, Mrs Bergman, Mr and Mrs A. Inder, Mr and Mrs F. Sturgess, Mr and Mrs A. Clark, Mrs Goodwin (Halswell), Mr and Mrs L. Harris (Motukarara), Mr and Mrs S. O. Wright, Mr and Mrs G. Tomlinson, Mr and Mrs L. Erickson. Mr and Mrs IT. Wright, Mr and Mrs R. Hunt, Mrs Cusdin (Duvauchelles), Misses M’Donald, Avis, Dulcie and Connie Colombus* (Governor's Bay), Thelma Wright, Lucy Tomlinson, Florence and Amy Clark, Edna Hunt, Monica Stone, Eva Bergman, Isabel and Muriel Thompson (New Brighton), Messrs Joseph Wright, Albert Colombus, Joe Manhire, Hector M’Donald (Governor’s Bay), Alan Wright, C. Cusdin, Edgar Tomlinson Cliff Goodwin (Halswell), F. Scott D Miller, C. Cooke, W. Pearson and F Wright.
