The Railway Department state that until further notice no passenger, parcels, or goods traffic will be accepted for all stations beyond Marris siding on the Reefton line, and all stations beyond Ngahere on the Blackball line. Onlv passenger traffic will be accepted for Paruassus station, but passenger* for Parnassus will require to walk over the Waiau ua bridge at their own risk. Owing to the fact that the similarity of the names of Park and Spreydon Domain causes to the public, the Reserves Committee of the City Council recommended at the meeting of the council last night, that the name of the former be changed i■* Barrington Park The council adopted the recommendation.
