SWORDFISH AND SHARK FIGHT WITH WHALE.
Per Press Association. GISBORNE, November 4. During the voyage of the steamer Wainui from Auckland passengers witnessed a fierce combat between a whale, swordfish and thresher shark near East Cape. The fight continued for a considerable time. The whale was slowly making way in the same direction as the steamer, but was eventually overcome.
