FALLING TIMBER IS CAUSE OF BROKEN ANKLE.
At 10.40 this morning A. Avis, a married man of fifty-eight years, who resides at 67, Ilarman Street, Addington, was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital suffering from a fractured left ankle. He was engaged in loading timber at the sewage works at Riccarton, when a load slipped and some of the timber fell on his ankle.
