HAROLD LLOYD IS IN “ HOT WATER.”
MOTHER-IN-LAW PESTERS HIM AT LIBERTY. In “Hot Water.” the leading film at Liberty Theatre. Harold Lloyd is seen aj his best: his whimsicalities are quite irresistible and even the most blase picturegoer must give way to unashamed laughter. The comedian is the same ingenuous, and sometimes inane-looking young man. but he suc-
creeds in making nearly every scene in which he appears almost deliriously funny. Harold Lloyd has given pic lure patrons many laughs in the past year or two. but never before has he concentrated so many in a few thousand feet of film. It is a picture which will amuse old and young alike. Playing opposite Lloyd is jobvna Ralston. A Pathe Gazette and Topical Budget run together contain interesting views, one being of Porritt winning the 100yds for Oxford against Cambridge. “Watch Out.” starring Ethyln Gibson and Billy West, is a good vehicle of humour of the farce order. A cartoon picture of big game hunting, a clever production completes the bill. The musical programme by the Liberty Quality Orchestra, under Mr Ernest Jamieson, is pleasing throughout.
