ST JOHN AMBULANCE HOLDS MEETING.
The general committee of the Canterbury and West Coast Centre of the St John Ambulance Association met last night: present—7lessrs J. A. Flesher (chairman), H. W. BoAvker, W. G. Wallis, Colonel Dawson, .Mosdames IT. H. Smith, Peck,’Howie, Bell and Bishop. it Avas reported that invalid transport fees receiA’ed during the month of June amounted to £52 18s 3 Id. The fees outstanding were £2OO 0s 4d. 71 r William Hindi, superintendent of the Waimate branch, was authorised to lecture to junior classes in first aid in the district. A report on the ambulances stated that the cost of repairs for the month amounted to £2S 3s 4d. This was due to two axles being broken on rough The chairman rud secretary were authorised to lix the date of the annual meeting: and Colonel Dawson's suggestion that an ambulance display be giA-en at the meeting was approved.
