SMOKED STICK OF DYNAMITE.
MINES FOREMAN MET WITH DREADFUL DEATH. By Telegraph.— Pres* Assn.—Copyright Aus. and N.Z. Cable Association. ( Received July 5, 3 p.m.) PARIS, July 4. A dreadful suicide is reported from the mining town of Susa. A mines foreman named Gagnon walked into the messroom with a stick of dynamite in his mouth. He coolly lighted the fuse in the presence of twenty-five, colleagues, who scattered to safety. The building was blown to pieces, likewise Gagnon. Ten miners were terribly injured. A pig in a yard a mile away was killed.
