NELSON FRUIT-GROWERS URGE IMPROVED HARBOUR.
Per Press Association. NELSON, June 24. At a further meeting of fruit-growers attended by 120 growers, the Federation offer of an Advisory Board for Nelson was further considered and adopted conditional on further information being given as to the scope and powers of the proposed board, and the method of election. The meeting unanimously requested the Harbour Board to take immediate steps to improve the harbour, and to faciltate direct shipments, and also unanimously decided against the use of printed wrapping paper on the ground of unwarranted expense.
