EIGHT-ROOMED HOUSE IS BURNT AT KAIAPOI.
Yesterday afternoon an eight-roomed house situated in Church Bush, Kaiapoi, on the Tuahiwi Road, and owned by Mr T. O’Neill, was completely destroyed by fire. Mr O’Neill left the house last week to reside in Kaiapoi, and alterations were being carried out. The Carpenters were working at the back of the house at the time of the outbreak, but the fire, which started in the front, had a good hold belore it waa noticed. The house waa insured in the State Fire Insurance Office for £6W. .
