MT. PLEASANT RESIDENTS EXPLAIN THEIR WANTS.
Tb© monthly meeting of the Mount Pleasant Burgesses’ Association, held at Mr J. Rosevea re's, was presided over by Mr C. Edmonds. The result of the deputation to the postal authorities requesting extension of mail delivery on account of the increase in the residential area was reported. It. was decided to request the Heathcote County Council to insta.l more street lights at certain points on the Mount Pleasant and Edenhiil Roads. Inquiries had been made of the Education Board concerning the erection of a school, and a committee was appointed to further the project. The dangerous state of the Sumner Road for pedestrian traffic from the Heatheote Bridge (o the Sumner boun- i dary line was pointed out, and it was ■ resolved that the Heatheote County I Council be requested to form footpaths on one side of this length of road- j The question of improvements to the. road on Mount Flesant was referred to the executive to report to a fur- j ttuer general meeting.
