MODERN DANIEL IN LIONS' DEN.
CYCLIST CRASHED THROUGH THE ROOF. LONDON, June 3. While the driver of a motor cycle was performing the “ circle of death ” at Montrcuil. says a Paris message, he came within an ace of meeting his end. The cycle left the track and crashed through the roof of a lions’ den. The cyclist climbed the bars, dodging the rush of an enraged lioness; but he was severely hurt while scrambling up. The lion-tamer pluckilv kept back the caged animals. They tried to follow the twentieth century Daniel until they were driven by assistants into another cage.
