"TO STEER COWS!”
MEMBERS of the Farmers’ Union Executive smiled today when the chairman read a letter asking for nomination for a man and his wife in England who wished to migrate to the Dominion. “The man,” said Mr Hall, “has a master's marine certificate. and the woman is a skilled seamstress, and they want to go on a. dairy farm.” “Want to go where?” asked Mr G. Sheat. “On a dairy farm,” replied Mr Hall. In the ensuing laughter a member suggested that perhaps the master’s certificate would help Ihe man to steer cows.
