AUTHORITY FOR LOANS FOR RELIEF OF UNEMPLOYMENT.
(Special to' the' “Star.”) WELLINGTON, June 23. Early this morning the Government introduced the Local Authorities Empowering (Relief of Unemployment) Bill, empowering local authorities without taking a loan poll to borrow money for relief works, and to refund from loan any money taken for the purpose from the general fund. This authority will expire on June 30, 1927^
