MONEY DONATED FOR NEW WOMEN’S WARD.

A sum of £2066 ISs has been received by the North Canterbury' Hospital Board from the Hospital Lady Visitors Association being donations collected for the purpose, of giving increased accommodation for women in the Hospital. At to-day’s meeting of the board, the Finance Committee reported that the sum was to be applied to the new ward now in course of erection. The committee also reported that in 1918 a donation was received from Mr Arthur Sims to be devoted to the furnishing of new hospital accommodation in memory of hi 6 late mother. It was proposed to devote some portion of the money in hand which, with the subsidy, now amounts to £2685, to far* oi&hing tbs new women’s ward.
