MOTORIST HAS AN UNPLEASANT TRIP.
A Lyttelton motorist had an unpleasant trip on Sunday night, while motoring from Latimer Square to Lyttelton. At the time he ‘left the fog was heavy and he was advised not to undertake the trip. The last port train having left Christchurch, and desiring to get back, .. he decided to proc?e<? to Sumner. By leaning over the side of the car he was able to distinguish the tram lines and lind his way to Redcliffs. The fog was "ft so thick that it was impossible to scfe‘“ past the radiator. The journey to Red cliffs occupied two hours, and iron? • there to Lyttelton occupied a furthc - half hour. The night was clear at bot) Sumner and Lyttelton. Fortunately for the driver of the car he encountered no traffic on the road. Xe vert lifeless it was an unpleasant drive.
