BARBERS MUST REGISTER YEARLY.
CITY INSPECTORS WILL SUPERVISE PREMISES UNDER HEALTH LAWS.
Recently regulations relating to hairdressers’ shops were gazetted under the Health Act. Among other things, these regulations require hairdressers to register their premises annually. At last night’s meeting of the City Council, the By-Laws Committee recommended that an annual registration fee of 10s 6d be charged and that the inspectorial staff be instructed to supervise the oremises and see that -ey were maintained as required in the regulations. There are 103 hairdressers’ shops in Christchurch. The recommendation was adopted.
