STRUCK HEAD ON ROCK AND FELL INTO SEA; WOMAN DROWNS.

Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, June 21. An inquest into the circumstances of the death of Mrs Helen Marr Grey*, a widow*, who was drowned at Taieri Mouth yesterday, was held this evening. The evidence showed that she had gone to Taieri Mouth with a party for the day, and had been left with her son and nephew, both aged eight. She was on the rocks near the water, when, unnoticed by them, she slipped, the fall stunning her. When she was found she was in shallow water, and the evidence showed that she had been drowned. A verdict that deceased had been accidentally drowned was returned, the Coroner, Mr J. R. Bartholomew, expressing sympathy for the relatives. Mrs Grey* had six children, the eldest of whom is twenty-two years of age.
