GAS GENERATOR BURSTS; NEALY SEVERS MAN’S HAND
A married man named Douglas Firth, 16, Somerfield Street, Sprevdon* aged 45 years, had his left hand almost severed by the explosion of an acetylene gas generator last evening. lie was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital and was operated on. He got through the operation all right, and this afternoon was reported to be in a satisfactory condition.
