A LOT OF LINE-OUTS LAST SATURDAY.
FREE KICKS WERE FIFTEEN ALL. There are always more line-outs in a Rugby game played on a wet day than there are on a fine day. Last Saturday in the Merivale-Linwood match the line-out score nearly reached a century, as will be shown by the following statistics compiled by Mr George Payne. It is interesting to note that each side were penalised an equal number of times. Line-outs 91 Serums 31 Free-kicks, Merivale 15 Free-kicks, Linwood 15 Marks, Merivale 6 Marks, Linwood 2 Force-downs.
