MALVERN SUB-UNION. A meeting of the Malvern Union was held in the Darfleld Hall. There was a gZsOd representation of delegates. An apologv was received from the president, Mr G. ence to Mr U. T. Wright. Messrs Wright and Patterson were elected delegates to attend the subunions’ conference, to be held in Christchurch on May 26. It was unanimously decided to purchase six to be prpvided for schools taking part in the sub-union’s competition," these to be forwarded to Harfleld Public, Whitecliffs, Glentunnel. Waddington. Klrwee and Springfield Schools; other applications to be held over till next season. On the motion of Mr Harwood, it was decided to forward a challenge for the Southbridge Shield. The' secretary was instructed to endeavour to arrange representative fixtures: —June 3, North Canterbury; June 3 j*. Banks Peninsula; July 3, Ashburton: July 17, Ellesmere. It was decided to play Peninsula, Ellesmere and Canterbury juniors on Kirwee. Glentunnel and Springfield grounds respectively. On the motion ot Mr Mitchell, it was decided to open the junior competition on Saturday, May 22. The following is the draw for the junior round, matches to be played on the grounds of the first-mentioned team:— May 2?—Glentunnel v. Hororata; Sheffield v. Kirwee. June R—Kirwee v.
