DELEGATES GATHER FOR C.E.M.S. CONFERENCE.

This morning delegates to the fifteenth Dominion Conference of the Church of England Men’s Societ3% attended at Holy Communion at the Cathedral. To-day was Devotional Day, and appropriate addresses were given by Archdeacon A. R. Hansell, of Lower Hutt, To-night the Bishop will preach the conference sermon. The conference meets in St John’s Schoolroom to-morrow, the morning session commencing at 10 o’clock. In the evening delegates will be entertained at a social tea by the Christchurch branches. The subject for the night meeting is “The Task of the Church in the World Today.” On Thursday morning Mr W. G. T. Airey addresses the conference on “International Relationships.” At the night meeting (which is to be held in the Jellicoe Ilall) the Bishop will take the subject “Men and the Church.”
