COOPER—EIBYE. ' St. James Presbyterian Church, Wellington South, was the scene of a very pretty choral wedding recently when Spencer Milford, youngest son of Mr C. T. Cooper, of Christchurch, was married to Daisy Theodora Ruth, only daughter of Mr and Mrs O. A. Eibye, of Vogeltown, Wellington. The Rev William Shirer performed the ceremony, and Mr A. A. Brown presided at. the organ. The bride, who was given away I>y her father, was attended bv Misses Kliean Hilt and Ada M'Coml.ie as bridesmaids. Mr Cecil Dawson, of Christchurch, was best man, and Mr Sefton Line as groomsman. After the ceremony a reception was held at Gamble and Creeds, Lavnbton Quav, where musical items were given by Mrs R. Goodman and Mr Alec Mill. Later Mr and Mrs Cooper left for the south. O'NEILL—RODGERS. At the Barbadoes Street Cathedral on Wednesday morning a pretty wedding was celebrated when Ethel, twin daughter of Mrs Rodgers, and the late Mr William Rodgers, of Waltham, was married to James O’Neill, "Allendale,” Fairlie, fourth son of Mr and the late Mrs James O’Neill, Cricklewood. Entering the church with her uncle, Mr D. J. Mahar, of Wellington, by whom she was given away, the bride looked most attractive in her frock of ivory georgette made on simple lines with a long tunic bodice and a flared skirt. Her filmy tulle veil was arranged from a circlet of orange-blos-soms, and her bouquet was of white hot house flowers and fern. Miss Mildred Rodgers, twin sister of the bride, was in attendance wearing a frock of bois de rose crepe de chine made on simple straight lines flared at the hem, and a hat of chiffon velvet in the same shade as her frock, fashioned with a narrow section crown, and a full upturned brim, and carried a bouquet of pink flowers and fern. Mr John O’Neill, carried out the duties of best man. The service was conducted bv the Rev Dr V. Geaney, cousin of the bride, and Miss O’Connor, presided at the organ. The guests were entertained later at Dixieland, where Mrs Rodgers received the guests wearing a distinctive frock of black satin, made, with a flared overskirt, and a black and white osprey mount. She carried a bouquet of scarlet roses.

The bride travelled in an ensemble suit.of rust red repp cloth, with Oriental trimmings, with hat en suite, and carried a navy coat with fur trimmings.

ATKINSON—VIZER. At St Mary’s Church, Addington, the wedding was recently celebrated of Geoffrey Edwin Rcnnell, second son of Mr and Mrs St George Atkinson, Addington. to Nessie May. vounger daughter of Mr and Mrs J. 11. Yizer, also of Addington. Canon Bean officiated at the ceremony and the church was beautifully decorated by friends of the bride, the decorations including a large wedding bell. The bride wore a dainty frock of chenille lace with godets of cream georgette. the low waistline being swathed with georgette and finished with a cluster of orange blossoms. Ilcr handembroidered veil, which was worn over the face, was arranged with a circlet of orange blossoms and was the work and the gift of the bridegroom’s mother. A shower bouquet of cream roses and maidenhair fern with streamers of tulle and ribbon completed a very becoming toilet. \ Miss Rose. Gyde, who attended as bridesmaid, wore a pretty model frock of cyclamen georgette. The. overdress, which was finished with a wide band of deep cream lace, fell in straight lines from a yoke of the same material. Her hat was of black tulle and lacc, relieved with a single cyclamen flower, and she carried a beautiful shower bouquet, the flowers harmonising with her frock. She wore a gold .wristlet watch, the gift of the bridegroom. Mr Kendal Atkinson, brother of the bridegroom, performed the duties of best man. Before leaving the church the bride was presented with a silver horseshoe by her little nephew. Master John Plumridge. Following the ccremonv n reception was held at the Selwyn Street Hall, Mrs Yizer receiving her guests in a handsome frock of rust brown repp with Oriental trimmings, the loose side panels being knife pleated. With this was worn a smart. little hat to tone and her bouquet was of autumn tinted flowers. Mrs St George Atkinson, mother of the bridegroom, was attired in a costume of navy jersey silk embroidered in Oriental colours. Her hat was of black hatter’s plush, and she carried a bouquet of red roses and carnations. Later in the evening the happy couple left bv car for their wedding tour, the bride travelling in an ensemble suit of navy serge relieved with facings of tan and a chic hat to match and a necklet v»t skunk, the gift of the bridegroom. NICHOLAS' GILES, Bright sunshine was experienced on Tuesday afternoon for the wedding of Miss Olive Giles, daughter of Mr and Mrs j, Giles, Prebbleton, and Mr Joseph Nicholas, son of Mr U, Nicholas, of From*, Somerset, Knglund, and the late Mrs Nicholas. The ceremony was performed bv the Rev F. K Rawle in All Saints’ Church, Prebbleton, and nuptial music was played by Miss Bessie Carpenter.

The bride made a charming picture in a simplv-cut frock of ivory silk brochc, with which was worn a dainty* veil of lightly embroidered tulle falling in graceful folds from a coronet of orange blossom She carried u hand ■ome bouquet of white roses and maidenhair fern tied with white ribbons. Two sisters of the bridegroom, Misses Violet and May Nicholas, attended as bridesmaids, the former wearing a pretty frock of madonna blue brocaded silk with long streamers falling to the

waist at the back and caught to the shoulder with a tiny posy of rosebuds. Miss May Nicholas chose crepe de chine of the same colour for her frock, the material being lightly patterned in pale pink, with panels falling back and front from the shoulders. Both wore wreaths of silver leaves and pink rosebuds in their hair. Natalie Laffev, the tiny flower girl, wore a pretty frock of lemon silk with a bandeau of the same shade in her hair, and she carried a silver horseshoe. All three maids carried bouquets of pink blossoms with sprays of fern. Mr Bruere, of Christchurch, was best man. Mrs Giles, the bride’s mother, wore a smart navy costume with a brown hat. Her bouquet was composed of crimson roses, and Miss Lily Giles chose a frock of saxe blue brocaded silk with yoke and hem of self-coloured material, worn with a small hat of nigger brown satin. After the ceremony Mr and Mrs Giles entertained a number of guests to afternoon tea in the hall, where the bridal cake was cut and the customary toast list honoured. The guests adjourned to the home of the host and hostess in the evening, where a pleasant time was spent in music and social diversions. Amongst the. guests were: The Rev F. R.
