ADDINGTON YARDS.

TO-DAY’S SALE. There were fairly large entries ot stock at the metropolitan weekly market at Addington to-day, but store sheep 'showed a marked falling off In numbers as. compared with recent sales. Store lambs met with a good demand and the sale of them was a very satisfactory one from the point of view of vendors. .Fat lambs also sold well, the export buyers competing actively for any suitable for their purposes. The yarding of fat sheep filled twelve races, the largest entry in this department for a considerable STOKE SHEEP. The entry of store sheep was smaller than has been the case for a long time. Since the beginning of the year store sheep have been coming forward to Addington in large numbers, but to-day there was a marked falling off. It was most noticeable in the case of lambs, the offering of this class being not more than two thirds of the offerings at the preceding two or three sales. A big proportion of the lambs were ewe lambs and good quality lines were sought after. Some three-quarter-breds made up to 28s 6d. Forward lambs made good values, but backward sorts were inclined to be erratic. However, the sale of lambs was a highly satisfactory one. The sale of adult sheep, opened with a good demand. The following sales were made:— Lambs., —108 cross-bred ewe at 23s 9d; 119 cross-bred wether at 18s 3d; 93 halfbred ewe at 26s 3d; 116 mixed sexed at 16s 9d; 52 cull ewe at 21s 9d; 35 lambs at 21s ,3d; 107 three-quarter-bred ewe at 28s 6d; 32 cull wether at 14s 6d: 57 cull half-bred ewe at 20s d; 4 4 small ewe at 20s; 157 half-bred ewe at 28s 3d; 84 mixed sexed at 225; 100 three-quar-ter-bred ewe at 27s 9d; 26 cross-bred ewe at. 255; 130 three-quarter-bred ewe at 27s 9d; 47 forward at 25s tid; 36 halfbred ewe at 24s 2d: 178 mixed sexed tbree T quarter-hred at 20s 4d; 44 cull at 18s Sri; iso three-quarter-bred at 23s 9d: 36 cull a.t 17s; 198 small half-bred ewe at 24s 2d; 91 cross-bred at 20s; 398 half-bred wether at 17s: 49 mixed sexed at 17s 4d; 36 Oorriedale ewe at 28s 9<J; 255 three-quarter-bred ewe at 24s Id; 120 cull half-bred wether at 14s; 3 7 cross-bred wether at 22s 6d.
