MAN HURLED AT ’PHONE CALMLY RINGS EMPLOYERS.

(Special to the “Star.’) * GLASGOW, March 10. A remarkable exhibition of coolness was given by a motor-'bus passenger

who was involved in an accident in Glasgow. Striking a light car which crossed its path in making for a side street, the ’bus crashed into the Glasgow Savings Bank, at the corner of James Street and Dumbarton Road, going halfway through the front of the building. Some of the passengers were pitched throtigh the ’bus window, landing in the bank. One of these so “catapulted” found himself thrown on to a broad ledge beside a telephone. Calmly he lifted the receiver and telephoned to his employer that he would be de laved, as he was in a ’bus accident. A woman who lost her purse in the smash refused to go to hospital until she had found it, though her hands were badly injured. Altogether twelve people were hurt, the most serious case being that of the driver, George Macfarlane, age tweni; - seven, who is understood to be also the owner of the ’bus.
