Nicholson, M.P., addressing the London Provincial Fruit Association, complained that the arsenic scare was hampering the imports of Colonial fruit. Mr Peter Wilson, chairman of the gathering, also described the scaremongers as making a mountain out of a mole hill. The reports of arsenic poisoning from eating apples were without foundation.
