A TRAGEDY.
ONE KILLED, THREE INJURED. MOTOR PLUNGES OVER BANK. For Press Association. WELLINGTON, June 29. About two o’clock this morning a motor-car plu,uged over ia bank on Salamanca Road near tho lvelburn Tramway bridge. As a result a young man named Macintyre, believed to be a resident of Mutt, was killed, and acic King, of Webb -Street, was injured intednally. Another occupant of the car, Airs King., was injured in the back and a an named Helper suffered a broken All those injured are suffering from shock. The residents of Salamanca Road were aroused by Mrs King and, on hurrying down tho road, found the car capsized with two men- inside. Four rescuers lifted the car and extricated Mac-intyre, who was dead. King was unconscious. A doctor, the police and an ambulance were called. Mho rescuers, meantime being unable to do more than shield the injured from the rai n. Helper, one of the injured ones, stated that the car was moving slowly, but as there was no light at the corner he did not know how the accident happened. 'Flic party had spent the evening at a house in lvelburn.
