CHILDREN GREET THE PRINCE. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Reuter’s Telegrams. (Received June 25, 1.5 p.m.) CAPE TOWN. June 25. The Prince of Wales, at Johannesburg witnessed a spectacular procession representing the trades and industries of the Rand and also attended a demonstration by 35,000 children, who greeted him, singing;—“ Edward is our darling.”
Some of the children strewed the Prince’s route for a quarter of a mile with rose petals.
