The Paris correspondent of “ The Times ” says that the French Government, in order to prove to Germanv itsincere desire for peaceful settlement has decided to proceed with the crania lion of the Ruhr, without waiting 1:11 August 16, the date fixed by the Lon don Agreement of 1023. The Government, in its statement, adds: “This friendly gesture should help- to dispel many of the suspicion? the Germans still harbour of Trend sincerity and goodwill.” Meanwhile, says the correspondent it. is useful to reconfirm that exchange of security notes between Paris ant Berlin created a real improvement ii Tranco-Gcrman Governmental rela lions, which has already beneficially affected the course of the TTanco-Ger man Trade Treaty. The negotiation have hitherto virtually been held \v because the French could not brin; themselves to sec the German point o view, but now, at last, good progress i being made, and the Treaty is said V be nearing completion.”
