The Bandsmen's Memorial Rotunda, which is to be erected in the Botanical Gardens, on a site adjoining the Acclimatisation Society’s grounds, will be the best band rotunda in the Dominion. It will be of Doric design, built of reinforced concrete, and finished in while sand and cement. His Excellency the GovernorGeneral is to be asked to lay the foundation stone during Grand National Week in August. The architects are Messrs Luttrell Bros. The dome, shown in the design, will not be built for some time yet.
