Captain Schoo, of the sterner Driebergen, was charged that he was the nvaster of a vessel from which three prohibited Chinese entered the Commonwealth. Defendant pleaded guiii „ on each barge: tines iimountiug to £3OO were imposed. Captain V* . ,j. iveogli, master of the steamer Kaionio, was fined £290. on an information that he was the master of a ship from which Andrew Efrasie. and Martin Pcarera, two prohibited imrn;grnts, entered Australia. For being the master of the steamer Fingal, from which liana Steffen, a prohibited immigrant. entered the Commonwealth. Captain R. Schubert was fined £IOO. On similar charges referring to the entrance of prohibited immigrants, Al 7- A- Zsdioche. Fbrahim. Mohamcd Ihix. and Paul Sehwicdcckc respectively- Capiain F. Sclnnter. of tin .reamer TTarnburg. Captain -I W. Kendall, of fho Coy of Corinth, and Captain F. Liar toll, of the steamer Arsa were each fined £IOO. In each case it was stated that the immigrants had been found missing at the muster of the crews, and had not since been located.
