Tt was decided that before such could be accepted ti e approval of the Canterbury League should he sought. It was deciderl that C. Pearce, X. Culpan, J. I). Wigham anci the captain be selectors of the Xew Zealand team in Australia. L nder the heading "More Money,” the Sydney "Sun” of June 10 said:— The new Australian Board of Control made (he arrangements with the Xew Zealand League for the coming t<«ur. and recently sent Mr J- Quinlan to ] Xew Zealand to complete matters. 1 he financial terms offered the Xew Zealand League were that after the deduction of ground ices and gatemen’s wages they should receive 50 per cent of the profits in all matches. New Zealand was prepared to accept that as far as Xew South Wales was concerned, but demanded 50 per cent of the gross receipts in Queensland. Naturally »he Queensland League rctused to agree *0 this proposal, contending that they should be upon the. same bask as Xew South Wales.
