July IS. “ T trust the public will not think that because the Chief Justice upset the Takapuna Borough Council's bylaw with regard to speed limits that he thought the limit of twenty miles Justice Reed in the Supreme Court after commenting on the excessive speeds maintained on certain roads in the city. “ As a matter of fact, he does not think the limit unreasonable,” his Honor added. “ I know because I talked it over with him. lie was bound to hold that the by-law was unreasonable, simply because the local authority itself thought so.’’
