PLUNKET SOCIETY.

The New Brighton branch of the Plunket Society held the first annual ! meeting on Tuesday last in the Parish | Hall, which was tastefully decorated i for the occasion. The Rev. C. Mac- ! Laverty presided over a large atten- ' dance. Mrs Cracroft Wilson and Mrs ] C. Wood were present, representing the Christchurch committee, and Mrs'Gil- ' mour from the Ly'ttelton branch. The treasurer, Mrs. Dixon, read the balance-sheet, which showed the very I satisfactory credit balancce of £64 10s : 3d. The secretary', Miss Hulme, gave j a brief resume of the year's work, and j Nurse Wilson presented her report on : what had been accomplished in the dis- | trict for the year ended March 31, j 1925.
