The inter-colonial steamer Manuka, from Melbourne, is due on Friday to load for Melbourne. The vessel i~- timed to sail for Wellington on Friday on the arrival of the 4.5 p.m. train from Christchurch. Opilii is duo on Tuesdav to load for Nelson and New Plymouth. The Union Company advises that the steamer Wailcouaiti is expected here f'-om Sydney, via Bluff and Dunedin on May 9. She will, on discharging, proceed to Timaru. thence Sydney. Kawatiri arrived yesterday morning from Newcastle with a load of coal. The vessel was unable to make a start in discharging owing to a shortage of railwill load general cargo at Lytte'ton and Picton for Auckland. She is timed to sail from Uyttelton about May 7. Kaiapoi is now expected to make her departure for Auckland to-morrow. Wingatui was dispatched last evening for Dunedin. Waipori, from Westport with a load of coal, is due to-morrow. Kamo is expected this morning from Timaru to load for Napier and Gisborne. She will return here from Napier with a consignment of sheep. The New Zealand Shipping Coinpjny advises that the steamer Willaston is due this morning from Wellington with Montreal and New York cargo for discharge. She proceeds later to Dunedin. The C. and D. Uine lias been advised that the Port Curtis arrived at London on Saturday last from Wellington. She left Wellington on March 14. Captain G. E. Morgan has been appointed master of the Kaitangata. vice Captain W. Martin, who has transferred to the- Wingatui. Captain F. U. G. Jaunay, of the Wingatui, is on lioliCaptain J. She is timed to sail this evening for Wellington complete. .She sails from Well!ngPort August a got a way from Lyttolton yesterday for Dunedin to continue her unloading of New York cargo. Port Wellington is to leave Kelson at the end of this week for Auckland. Hicks Bay. Gisborne and Wellington. Jtnahine is expected to sail from Lytlelton on Monday next for Auckland. Molmdale arrived this morning from Tima.ru to load for Wellington and Wangs miiThe Bluff Harbour Board notify t lie existence of a- sunken dolphin having a. depth of 21ft over all. As this obstruction exists seventy-five feet northward of the main channel leading beacons, care should be exercised by deep draft vessels when in the main channel between Nos. 1 and 2 beacons. It is intended to remove the obstruction as soon as possible. THE FERRY SERVICE. The Union Company advises that the Mararoa is expected at Lyttelton on Tuesday from Wellington. She will dock here on Tuesday and relieve the Maori on Wednesday. In future the Mararoa will leave Lyttelton on the arrival of the 7.1 S p.m. train from Christchurch. OVERSEAS SHIPPING.
