SIR JOSEPH WARD’S NAME MISUSED.
IRISHMAN’S FRAUD. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON. February 5. The re trial took place to-day of Albert, James Fogarty, on a. charge of receiving £75 from Jeremiah O'Meara, by falsely representing that Sir Joseph Ward would back the bill. The jury found the accused guilty of false pretences, and lie was remanded for sentence.
