WEDDING

KNIGHT—RUSTON. A wedding was celebrated recently at the Methodist Church, Sydenham, when to Noel, youngest son of Mr and Mrs T. 11. Ruston, Beckenham, was married to Noel, youngest son of Mr and Mrs E. R. L. Knight. Spreydon. The ceremony was performed by the Rev P. R Paris, Miss Elsie Kay presiding at the organ. The church was tasteiuily decorated by cousins of the bride, with arum lilies and white sweet peas. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a gown of white brocaded crepe de chine trimmed with silver and orange blossom. Her beautiful hand embroidered veil was arranged mob cap style, and she caried a bouquet of white flowers. The bridesmaid, Miss Joyce Taylor, cousin of the bride, wore a dainty frock of shell pink georgette with a black crinoline hat, and her bouquet was of pink and mauve flowers. Two little flower girls, Diana and Geraldine Guthrie, nieces of the bridegroom, wore quaint frocks of white net over pink, with bouquets to match. Charles Henderson carried out the duties of best man.

After the ceremony about one hundred guests were entertained in the church parlour, where the bride s mother received them. She wore a naw costume and a smart black and white hat. The bridegroom’s mother wore a smart brown costume with hat to match. , When Mr and Mrs Knight left lor their wedding trip, the bride wore a navy blue costume, and her hat of fawn georgette was trimmed witn tomato-coloured flowers.
