WEDDING.
SMITH -JORY’. A wedding was solemnised, at the Methodist Church. Lyttelton, on AVefines da 3', when Ruth, second daughter ol Air and Airs J. Jory, was married to Ernest Albert Smith, of Rakaia. Aiiss Rosetta Beaman, of Kimberley, was bridesmaid, and little Elva Haslets, (niece of the bride) was a dainty little flower girl. The bridegroom was attended by Mr Pimbell. The bride wore a gown of ivory crepe de chine and hand embroidered veil. Aliss Beaman chose peacock blue embossed fuji silk and black picture hat, and the little flower girl wore pink crepe 4© chine. After the ceremony a reception was held in the Excelsior Hall, where Airs Jory, mother of the bride, received the guests. The happy couple left later for the north, the bride travelling in a fawn gabardine costume and hat to match.
