CANTERBURY COLLEGE DANCE.
Although, the weather prevented the Canterbury College Tennis Club from holding it.-, tournament on Saturday afternoon, a happy hand of dancers gathered in the College Hall on Saturday night to take part in an entertainment organised by the College Tennis Committee. Cups won by members of the club in the club’s competitions were presented by Mrs C. Chilton as follow: - Ladies’ singles, Aliss AY. Partridge; men’s singles, Air C. J- Hunter; the w inner for the previous year being Air \Y. R. Robinson. Combined doubles. Aliss Lorna Saunders and Air R. P. Fish. Aicn’s doubles, Alessrs A. M. Spencer and R. P. Fish. The dances were interspersed with instrumental and vocal items given by Alisses Merle Sowden and AYinsome Young, anc! Messrs C. J. Hunter and O. U. Alartin. while Aliss Jessie Clark and Air O. Dr a dor acted as accompanists. Reid’s Peerless Orchestra supplied the music*. Amongst, those present were: Alesdames C’- Chilton, L. J Darwin, AA'. Robinson, O. E. Foweraker, H. Grundy. J. H. Penlington and Harrison ; Alisses Enid Bowie, Barbara Hall. Rona Ashman.
